Reservation Policy
Please be aware, that while Red Rock Grill & Bar, accepts reservations, we are making a promise to do our best to seat you within a reasonable time of the reservation. Reservations made for times when we are very busy, do not guarantee that a table will be ready for the exact time of your reservation. We do guarantee that you will be sat before those who do not have reservations, but since we can only estimate when tables will become available during the evening, and we do not have a very large dining room, we do not always have a way to seat a reservation at the exact time of your reservation. While the majority of reservations will be sat within 5 minutes of your reservation, there have been a few instances where people with reservations have had to wait more than that. Since our only other option is to not accept reservations, we feel this policy is a reasonable compromise. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at:

About Us

How it All Started

Russ and Sherry Berger opened their first restaurant in December of 1990, Blue Wave Grill & Bar, on Berkeley Street in Boston's South End. The restaurant was a California inspired theme with high ceilings, white walls adorned with vibrant local art, pickled hard wood floors, glass block walls, blue neon accents and sand box tables, truly the first of it's kind in Boston. The menu was eclectic California cuisine, emphasising colorful, flavorful and fresh!
Shortly later, the couple opened Moka California Cafe, the first coffee house in the South End. Moka was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but the main draw was the giant coffee drinks and homemade baked goods.
In 1994, Baja Mexican Cantina was born. A lively 80 seat restaurant in the South End, with fresh and flavorful Mexican cuisine, and over 100 tequila offerings. In 1995, Malta Rotisserie & Grill opened on Hanover Street in Boston's North End. Malta served Mediterranean cuisine in a very stylish and trendy North End setting.
After moving to Upton, Ma in 2006, and loving the daily commute to Boston, the couple sold their Boston restaurants and purchased the Wildwood Lounge in Upton, After five months of heavy duty construction, Russ & Sherry opened Red Rock Grill and Bar on February 14, 2011. Red Rock is a "Rustic Chic " eatery serving delicious inspired comfort food.
